Maternal Infant Health Program (MIHP)The Maternal Infant Health Program (MIHP) is a home visiting program for pregnant women and babies. Trusted HP - Michigan works with multiple community MIHP agencies to support healthy pregnancies, good birth outcomes, as well as healthy babies. Services will be in addition to your regular prenatal/baby care doctor visits and will help you and the baby stay healthy.
MIHP agencies are certified by Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS), and follow program policies, procedures, and expectations of Medicaid Policy, the MIHP Program Operations Manual and Public Act 291 of 2012. Trusted has contracts with multiple MIHP agencies in our service area.Trusted HP - Michigan Care Manager is a Registered Nurse who contacts all women who are expecting a baby or had just delivered, and refers them to an Trusted contracted MIHP agency of their choice for MIHP outreach, screening and care coordination. Trusted members can change their MIHP agency from those with which Trusted has contracts or continue with an MIHP agency they are seeing at the time of enrollment. Care Manager Nurse also contacts members who have completed or opted out of the MIHP program to see if they need more help with mom's and baby's health and wellbeing.
MIHP is an opt out program and you can refuse the services at any point. Just let the Care Manager Nurse know.If you need more information regarding MIHP call our Member Services line 1-844-427-2671 and ask for MIHP Nurse.
